With less than 24 hours until we depart, JaeRan Kim, Tracy Crudo and I (Traci LaLiberte) are hurridly making last minute arrangements for our trip to Russia. We arrive in Moscow on Thursday evening (local time). We are all anxious to meet our other traveling companions from the US for the Russian-American Child Welfare conference. The National Foundation for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Russia in cooperation with the Children’s Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region of Russia, IHS and APSAC organized the 3rd Russian-American Child Welfare Forum in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia on September 23-24, 2013. As colleagues of professionals at APSAC and IHS in Ohio, our CASCW staff were invited to attend and participate in this conference.
We hope that people will check out blog to find desxriptions of what we are seeing and doing while in Russia. We anticipate that this will be an incredible learning opportunity for us and are anxious to share it with you all as well.
